We take safeguarding extremely seriously. Our therapists follow statutory safeguarding guidance and work in partnership with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all clients.
Data Protection & GDPR Compliance
The Communication Place is fully compliant with GDPR and ICO standards.
We:
Collect only the information necessary for providing therapy
Store data securely in encrypted systems
Do not share information without consent (except where legally required for safeguarding)
Provide clients with full access to privacy and data-handling policies on request
Confidentiality
All client information remains confidential. Reports, notes, and communications are shared only with individuals you authorise.
Complaints Policy
At The Communication Place, we are committed to providing high-quality, professional therapy services and to ensuring that everyone who uses our services feels heard and respected. We take concerns seriously and aim to resolve them fairly, promptly, and collaboratively.
If you have a concern, we encourage you to raise it directly with the therapist involved so that it can be addressed informally where possible. If you wish, you may also submit a formal complaint in writing via email or post, including as much detail as possible.
We aim to acknowledge all complaints within 5 working days and provide a response within 20 working days. If the matter requires additional time, we will keep you informed of progress. Our priority is to work with you to find a satisfactory resolution. Where requested, we can provide a written record of any agreed actions. All complaints are handled confidentially, with information shared only with those directly involved.
